Dayton Shooting Suspect Found Dead After Hourslong Standoff

Nine Fatalities Confirmed
A suspect in a deadly shooting in Dayton, Ohio, was found dead Sunday after a manhunt and hourslong standoff with law enforcement. Police publicly released body camera video Sunday from eight officers who opened fire and five others who were at the scene.
The shooting, which left nine people dead and 27 injured, occurred early Sunday morning in the city's Oregon District.
Police say the suspect, Connor Betts, 24, opened fire on a crowd of people with an AR-15-style rifle. He was killed by officers approximately 30 seconds after he began shooting.
